URBANA, IL- Marilois Jackson, 93, of Urbana, passed away at 8:35 A.M., Friday, June 3, 2011 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2106 E. Windsor Road, Urbana, IL. Burial will be held at the Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jackson was born February 24, 1918, in Villa Grove, IL, a daughter of Denman and Bertha Golda (Stanford) Skidmore. She married Gerald A. Jackson on November 14, 1948 in Villa Grove. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1998. Survivors include a son, Terry Jackson and wife, Gayle of Urbana, two grandchildren, James Daniel Jones of Urbana, and Dr. Clint Allen Jackson of Champaign, and a brother, Capt. Howard H. Skidmore of Palos Verdes Peninsula, California.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Mrs. Jackson and her husband owned and operated Jackson Upholstering & Refinishing Company in Urbana for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Urbana, and she enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch, crocheting and chair caning.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or Carle Hospice.
