Maria E. Barger, 87, of Savoy passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Maria was born on December 16, 1933 in Hilversum, Holland the daughter of Peter and Maria (Van de Weijer) Baas. She married James Edgar Barger on July 28, 1979 in Champaign, he precedes her in death. She is survived by daughters- Monique Helderman and Yvonne(John) Starr both of Urbana, Illinois ;step daughter- Stasi(Richard) McMillan of Indianapolis, IN ; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband,4- brothers and 3- sisters and a grandson Nicholas Barger. Maria loved people and was an excellent caregiver. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling and being a hostess. A celebration of life  service will be held by the family at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com
