Obituary

Funeral services for Margaret F. Dilley, 86 of Savoy, formerly of Urbana and Wildwood, Fla., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Pastor Rich Vinson of Meadowbrook Church will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dilley died Monday, March 10, 2008 at The Carle Arbours, Savoy. She was born September 6, 1921, in Homer, a daughter of J. Clifford and Maude Mark Lovingfoss. She married Edward W. Dilley on September 16, 1939 in Veedersburg, Ind. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Harlan) Holt of Pesotum and Kathy (Jim) Stahly of Normal; a son, Stan Dilley of Savoy; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert Lovingfoss of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Dilley graduated from Philo High School in 1939. While in high school she lettered in athletics and was active in the 4-H Club. She retired from the Carle Clinic Association Business Office in 1977 after twenty one years. She was a forty year member of the First United Methodist Church, Urbana and was a member of the Gamma Nu Women's Sorority.

Mrs. Dilley retired to Continental Country Club, Wildwood Fla. in 1984 and moved back to the local area in 2001 to be with her family. Her passions besides her family were sewing, knitting, crocheting, art and crafts and golf. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
