Margaret Luv Brown 90, of Champaign passed from this world at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, John Garrett and Aldon Jensen will officiate. Burial will be at Willowbrook Cemetery, Fisher. There will be no prior visitation.
Margaret was born on October 31, 1917 in Port Glascow, Scotland, the daughter of John Luv and Elizabeth Stirrat Brown.
Survivors include her sister Elizabeth Stirrat Brown Allan, her cousins; Matthew (Ruth) Lang and Alice Lang of Glascow, Scotland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Margaret came to America in 1922, residing in Detroit, Michigan; Fisher and Champaign, Illinois. She was employed for many years at Sears Roebuck & Company retiring after 46 years.
She received Christ as her Savior in Detroit in 1932 and was baptized in Fisher. Margaret was faithful in worship and fellowship and taught Sunday school for many years at Stratford Park Bible Chapel in Champaign and in recent year's fellowshipped at First Christian Church in Champaign.
Margaret enjoyed making porcelain dolls, playing in the kitchen band and Bible Study Fellowship. She is best remembered for her love for her Lord Jesus Christ.
