Margaret A. Bothwell 79 of Urbana died at 12:10 p.m. surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Grandview Memorial gardens, Champaign. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bothwell was born on September 8, 1927 in Champaign, the daughter of Fred and Clara Armstrong Brocksmith. She married John Parks Bothwell on July 14, 1951 in Urbana; he died January 30, 1992.

Survivors include two daughters; Martha R. Wilson and Linda E. Fletcher both of Champaign and a son; John D. Bothwell of Champaign, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Bothwell retired as a food service manager for the Urbana School District.

She was a member of the VFW Post 5520 Women's Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She liked to shop, travel and spending time with friends and family.
