Marcus Bruno Hendon 51 of Urbana died at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Home.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Church of God 701 South Duncan, Champaign. An open house following the memorial service will be held at the family home in Urbana. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hendon was born on April 17, 1957 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the son of John and Georgia Needham Hendon. He married Wendy Smith on May 28, 1987 in Monticello, she survives.

Also surviving are his father John of Urbana, three sons; Marcus and Samuel Hendon of Urbana and Matthew Hendon of LeRoy, one daughter; Jennifer Lee of Champaign, three sisters; Norma Albright of Wisconsin and Marcella Sleijza and Joni Anderson both of Illinois and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

Mr. Hendon graduated from Central High school and retired as the general manager of Shapland Automotive/Rogers Chevrolet.
