Marcia A. Shofner-Gaines 46 of Champaign died at 10:20 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; the Rev. Terry Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Marcia was born on January 30, 1964 in Urbana, the daughter of Jack and Marcella Ann Hauersperger Gaines. She married Steven Shofner on August 6, 1983, she then married Art Crapse on March 17, 2010 in Urbana, he survives.

Surviving are her parents of Champaign, two daughters: Toni Schmidt of Rankin and Julie Hulse of Champaign and two grandchildren; Trent and Kileigh.

She was preceded in death by one sister; Angela Schoonover.

Marcia was an animal caretaker at the U of I for twelve years.

She enjoyed motorcycle riding, knitting fishing and camping.
