Marcia Sue Lasater died peacefully, after a brief illness, on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital with her son and a dear friend by her side.

She was born May 12, 1945, the daughter of Howard and Virginia Eccles of Champaign who along with her brother Craig, preceded her in death.

She married Neil Lasater, July 11, 1965. They were married for 47 yrs. until his death on June 2, 2012.

She is survived by her son Brian, his wife Jen and her two precious grandsons, Jack & Andy of Aurora, IL.

Marcia will be remembered as a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend to all that knew her. She unselfishly and tirelessly shared many kindnesses to all those who touched her life in ways too numerous to mention. Marcia will be profoundly missed by all.

She will be laid to rest, alongside her husband at the Danville, IL Veterans Cemetery. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery pavilion.

In lieu of flowers, the family request remembrances to be given to the "Connections for Women in Transition Store" Lincoln Square Mall, Urbana, IL or a charity of the donor's choice.
