Mable Underwood, 91, of LeRoy, formerly of Urbana, passed away at 4:50 A.M. on Saturday, January 02, 2016 at LeRoy Manor in LeRoy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Mable was born on August 3, 1924 in Somerset, KY to parents Orel Tarter and Myrtle (Henderson) Tarter. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two daughters; Patricia Ann Ruyle and Linda Lou Wonycott, four sisters and four brothers.

On March 3, 1963 Mable married Elvious R. Underwood in Oklahoma City, OK. He passed away on April 8, 1993.

She is survived by one son David Wayne Ruyle of Kemp, TX, one sister Loretta Catron of Glasco, KY, three brothers; Wilbur Tarter (Susie) of Mahomet, Earl Tarter of Fairmount, Walter Tarter of Jamesville, IA, seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren.

She was a member of Champaign First Church of the Nazarene and a former member of Westside Nazarene Church in Champaign. Mable absolutely loved animals, every time she saw one her face would light up. Her favorite thing to do was feed people food to her two dogs, Lucy and Layla. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren very much and was so proud of each and every one of them. Mable loved the Lord with all of her heart, and would walk around the house singing "Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace." When she laughed, it lit up the entire room.

Mable was an amazing woman and she was loved by many, and will be truly missed by all.
