M. Carol Marlatt, age 79, of Urbana, passed away at 7:50 P.M., Thursday, December 3, 2009 at her home in Urbana.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 604 W. Windsor Road, Champaign, IL. Bishop Kevin Johnson will officiate. Burial will be held at the Ludlow Cemetery, Ludlow, IL. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.
Mrs. Marlatt was born March 3, 1930, a daughter of Earl and Iris M.(Hannah) Jones. She married Robert E. Marlatt on June 21, 1951 at Champaign, IL. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1983. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Lynn Webber (Joe) of Austin, TX and Pam Brown (Butch) of Sidney, IL. Five grandchildren: Stacey Webber of Houston, TX, Corey Webber of Austin, TX, Trever (Kelly) Brown of McCordsville, IN, Rachael (Matt) Paceley of Urbana, and Michael Brown of Sidney. Four great grandchildren: Maggie Brown and Colin Brown, both of McCordsville, IN and Cole Paceley and Reagan Paceley, both of Urbana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Mrs. Marlatt graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL. She also graduated from the Burnham School of X-ray Technicians. She was a past member of Toastmasters and a former member of the Gray Ladies. She was also a camp director for Young Women through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved her family, church and she enjoyed genealogy, camping and crafts.
