URBANA, IL- Lynda Ann Hatter, 66, of Urbana, IL, passed away with her family by her side at 6:15 P.M., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 3P.M. on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Visitation will be held two hours prior (1-3P.M.) to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Bay Springs Cemetery, Bay Springs, South Carolina on December 28, 2013.

Lynda was born on May 26, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida, a daughter of George J. and Doris (Lewis) Payne. She married Frederick O. Hatter on December 13, 1963 in Chesterfield, S.C. He survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Dana(Michael) Jenkins of Farmer City, IL; five grandchildren, Kyle(Lauren), Andrew, Gabriel, Connor, Isabella, and a brother, The Honorable Charles (Barbara) Payne of Hamlet, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin boys, Kenneth Bryant and Frederick O. Hatter.

Lynda worked in many different capacities at all three area hospitals and for Dr. Basler for many years. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Ave. Baptist Church, where she helped with the church's food pantry, and she was a member of Helping Hands. Lynda also loved shopping and scrapbooking.
