Luther Louis Marlow Jr. 72 of Blue Mound formerly of Champaign went to be with his heavenly father at 5:55 a.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008 in his home with his daughter Angela and son in-law John by his side.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Luther was born on October 2, 1935 in Homer.

He worked at the Magnavox Company in Champaign. He also worked for Steak-n-Shake in Champaign-Urbana and Decatur until he retired.

He loved to ride his bike across the states. While at home he enjoyed building model cars, metal detecting and recording music.

Luther was very loved and cared for by his close family. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one grandson and one great grandson.

He leaves behind his three children, two daughters; Angela (John) Hilliard of Blue Mound, Connie of Indiana and son; Luther (Jo) Marlow III of Urbana, grandchildren; Stephanie (Daniel) Arnold of Decatur, Christina (Damon) Suddarth of Tennessee, Nikki Marlow, Justin Marlow and Jesse Marlow all of Urbana, several great grandchildren, brothers; Donald Marlow of Urbana and Jim (Mary) Marlow of Champaign, six nieces and one nephew.
