Lucy Caroline Denniston, 87, of Champaign, formerly of Mahomet passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Champaign.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Lucy was born on November 17, 1930 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to parents Ralph and Bertha (Holzhauer) McNeill. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and one sister.

She married Elmo Denniston on June 7, 1980; he passed away on February 23, 2015.

She is survived by her children; Larry (Debbie) Dodson of Ringgold, GA and Carolyn (Sonny) Bosecker of Rochelle, IL. Her brother Billy McNeill of Tolono, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive her.

Lucy was a dairy farmer and factory supervisor at Del Monte for twenty years.
