Lucille Ekiss Exton 89 of Urbana died at 11:19 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Exton was born on November 30, 1924 in Mansfield, the daughter of Clive L. and Merel Bone Ekiss. She married William Thomas Exton Jr. on April 10, 1963 in Maywood; he died November 18, 1998.

Survivors include one daughter; Martha Mae Exton of Urbana, and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Exton worked for A-1 Tire & Battery for 35 years and then as an accountant for the U of I for 17 years.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Urbana, Order of Eastern Star, Order White Shrine of Jerusalem and the Cumberland Methodist Church, Bethany.

Mrs. Exton was an avid Illini and Cubs fan.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
