Lucille E. Conrad, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away at 9:10 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her home.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lucille was born October 14, 1927 in LaGrange, Illinois to parents John and Caroline (Achterkirchen) Graehling; they preceded her in death.  Survivors include five children: Daniel Conrad (Amy), of Powatan, Virginia, Donna Guzy, of St. Joseph, Illinois, Mary Conrad, of Zanesville, Ohio, Matthew Conrad (Patsy), of Hopewell, Ohio, and Barbara Cook, of De Beque, Colorado, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and on great great granddaughter.  Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Ms. Conrad was a devoted mother who was able to stay home with her children as they grew up.  Later in life she worked at Lumi-Lite candle factory in Norwich, Ohio on their wedding line.  When she retired, she moved back to Illinois.  She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran of St. Joseph and the Low Vision Group. She was also a proud alumna of Iota Sigma and enjoyed reading.
