Loyd M. Longenbaugh, 92 of Urbana passed away at 11:04 p.m. Saturday December 12, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday December 18 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with burial and military rites at Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo. Pastor David Ashby officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Longenbaugh was born on March 10, 1923 in Fisher, the son of Rev. Guy O. and Leta M. (Reeter) Longenbaugh. He married Marjorie A. Dillman on August 8, 1948 in Champaign and she preceded him in death on April 30, 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Sue C. (Carl) McLin of Bryan, TX, Lynn L. Dilley of Champaign, and Ann Rivier (David) of Urbana, a brother, Eugene Longenbaugh of Fort Worth, TX, grandchildren, Justin McLin, Erin (Stephen) Andre, Meghan (Michael) Kneese, Molly (Amy Maddin) Dilley, Joshua Dilley, Neal (Lauryl) McKenry and Ellyn (Travis) Lord, and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mr. Longenbaugh attended school in Clinton. He retired from the U. S. Airforce as a pilot after 30 years, serving through 3 wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. After retirement from the Air Force, he became a supervisor for MTD, retiring after 35 years. He was a member of Urbana American Legion, Illinois State Grange and the 1st Fighter Association.
