M. Louise Lard, 70 of Urbana died at 4:05a.m. Friday, February 08, 2008 at home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Private graveside services will be held. Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Mrs. Lard was born on June 26, 1937 in Riverton, IL, The daughter of Arthur and Nina Fay. She married James Lard on January 30, 1960 in Riverton, he survives. Also surviving are three sons; James (Melinda) Lard of Fowlerville, MI, Joseph (Rosie) Lard and Michael Lard both of Urbana and a daughter; Pamela Hoskins of Colorado Springs, CO, two sisters; Shirley Goodall of Riverton and Dianna Fay of Nevada MO and five grandchildren, Justin, Heather, Dustin, Spencer and Kayla. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gary Fay and Dale Fay. Mrs. Lard worked as an aid at Prairie Schools in Urbana for a number of years. For over 30 years she made wedding cakes and all occasion cakes out of her home. She was well known for her beautiful and delicious cakes. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She enjoyed going to all their events. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
