Loretta P. McDonough, 81, of Urbana, passed away at 5:45 P.M. on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Heartland Healthcare, Champaign.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April, 4, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Urbana. An hour visitation will be held one hour before at the church.

Loretta was born on March 13, 1933 in Champaign to parents Cletus and Elizabeth (Pfiffer) Pilgrim, they preceded her in death. On October 8, 1988 she married Thomas McDonough, he survives. Also surviving are one sister, Patricia Purcell of White Heath, Illinois, one brother, Robert Pilgrim of Bellevue, Nebraska, brother in law, Glenn Myers, sister in law, Connie Dillon, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Myers.

Loretta graduated from Rantoul High School in 1951. She worked for the University of Illinois for over forty years, her last position there was as an Executive Assistant. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughter's of America and the St. Patrick's Guild.

Loretta loved to read, gardening and the color blue. She was devoted to her church. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt.
