Lola Isa Goodpaster, 92 of Urbana died at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana, the Rev. Chris Von Holten will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory.

Mrs. Goodpaster was born on October 24, 1916 in Louisville, the daughter of Melville and Della Bishop Clifton. She married MSG (Ret) Eugene Goodpaster on October 1, 1948 in Urbana; he died on September 23, 1992.

Survivors include one son: 1SG (Ret) Terry (Phyllis) Goodpaster of Champaign, three grandchildren; Angie Fitzgerald, Lauren Goodpaster and Lance Goodpaster and one great grandson; Ryland Fitzgerald.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Lorand Clifton, Taylor Clifton and Henry Clifton, and 3 sisters; Pauline Rayle, Eveylene Muesing and Minnie Humes.

Mrs. Goodpaster was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
