Lois Elaine Johnston 93 of Urbana died at 11:23 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Center, Urbana.

She was born in Pana, Illinois on November 28, 1922. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and taught in Garrett, Illinois. She then moved to Danville, Illinois and taught there for over 30 years. While in Danville, she earned a BS and MS in Education from the University of Illinois.

She is survived by her sister, Norma Childers, her nephew William Childers and his wife Barbara, her grandniece Gwendolyn and grandnephew William.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at Mt. Hope Mausoleum, 611 East Pennsylvania Ave., Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 South Philo Road, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.
