URBANA, IL-  Lois "Jean" Buchka, 87, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 11:45 P.M., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.  Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL, at a later date.

Lois was born October 22, 1930, a daughter of Rev. Dwight J. and Nellie Ruth (Smith) Alexander.  She married Louis Earl Buchka on November 26, 1953 in Kinmundy, IL.  He preceded her in death on December 30, 2014.  Also surviving is a daughter, Jill Ann(James) Cantrell of Urbana, IL; grandson, Dylan J.(Kerry) Cantrell of Urbana; a great granddaughter, Kamryn Cantrell of Urbana;  a sister-in-law, Barbara Alexander of Kinmundy, and many cousins.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, James, and a sister, Joann.

Lois graduated Kinmundy-Alma High School and  Sparks Business College in Shelbyville, Illinois.  She was  a state licensed day care provider for almost 30 years.
