Lois Florence Shelford Bennett, 98 of Champaign died at 6:51 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Champaign. Memorial services will be February 16 at 1 PM at McKinley Presbyterian Church in Champaign, Rev. Heidi Weatherford officiating.

Mrs. Bennett was born May 13, 1912 in Chicago, the daughter of Victor E. and Mabel (Brown) Shelford. She married Edmond H. Bennett in Chicago and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1975. She is survived by her children; Betty Bennett of Dundee, E. Shelford Bennett of Champaign, Mary Bennett of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, grandchildren; Brian Sheppard and John Sheppard. She is preceded in death by a son; John Paul Bennett, brother; John Shelford, husband and parents.

Mrs. Bennett was active in fine applied arts at McKinley Foundation. She was also involved in an antique study group, the Music Series at the University of Illinois and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of McKinley Presbyterian Church.
