Linda S. Vogel, 63 of Mahomet died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Lutheran Church of Mahomet, Rev. Vic Baderschneider and Rev. Emil Blobaum will officiate. Entombment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vogel was born on August 17, 1951 in Urbana, the daughter of Max D. and Dorothy Emkes Albin. She married Martin Vogel on August 6, 1977 in Urbana, he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter; Christine Vogel of Park Ridge.

Mrs. Vogel graduated from Urbana High School in 1969 and Parkland College in 1972.

She worked at Clark-Dietz from 1972 - 1976 then retired as a secretary at the University of Illinois, having worked for the Army ROTC, Operations & Maintenance, Capital Programs and the Electrical Computer Engineering.

Mrs. Vogel was a member of the Lutheran Church of Mahomet and the Red Hats.

She enjoyed gardening, the Chicago Bulls and Illini Basketball.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of Mahomet or the Carle Inpatient Rehabilitation unit.
