MAHOMET, IL- Linda "Lyn" Lorraine Cox, 67, of Mahomet, IL, passed away at 10:02 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A memorial service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church at 509 S. Mattis Avenue in Champaign on Saturday, February 25th from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Lyn was born on April 30, 1949 in Denver, Colorado, a daughter of Walter and Florence (Carr) Carey. She married David Graham Cox on June 27, 1970. She is survived by her husband, David; her two daughters, Heather Oldani of Bartlett, IL and Jennifer Cox of Apex, NC; two brothers, Wayne Carey of Coeur d'Alene, ID and Kevin Carey of Connecticut.

Lyn worked as an accounts receivable manager for MBS Envision, Mahomet, and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandson Keenan Oldani, painting folk art, gardening and travelling.
