MAHOMET, IL-  Linda J. Beard, 75, of Mahomet and formerly of Urbana, IL, passed away at 2:56 AM, Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at home.

Visitation will held from 10-11 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2025 with a memorial service at 11:00 AM at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL.  Burial will follow services at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview.

Linda was born March 3, 1950 in Urbana, the daughter of Lawrence and Lodemea(Robertson) Crist.  She married Richard Lee Beard on May 3, 1973 in Urbana, and he passed away on January 13, 2012.  Survivors include two sons, Darin Beard of Mahomet, Ryan Lee Beard of Mahomet, and a daughter, Danielle Beard of Urbana.  Also surviving are two brothers, Larry Crist of Marietta, Georgia and Keith Crist of Urbana, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
