Obituary

Lillian Pearl Hoyt, 89, of Urbana, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2014 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with Pastor Sam Stow officiating. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday evening, January 9, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Lillian was born in Bloomington, Illinois on September 2, 1925, the daughter of Orville F. and Ethel Pearl (Lawson) Smith. They preceded her in death. On February 14, 1948 she married James Hubert Hoyt in Mattoon, Illinois. James passed away on September 8, 1997. Also preceding Lillian in death was her daughter, Connie Marie Hoyt, her great grandson, Nicholas Hoyt Seeman, one sister and one brother.

She is survived by two daughters; Dottie Lynn Seeman (Fred) of Chenoa and Pamela Sue Colbert (Greg) of Arvada, Colorado, a brother, Irvin Lee Smith (Diane) of Inverness, Florida, a sister, Evelyn Marie Earl of Cincinnati, Ohio, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and she was looking forward to her first great great grandchild.

Lillian attended Urbana High School and was a member of Weber Street Christian Church in Urbana. She worked in customer service at Concord Custom Cleaners for 40 years and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 71. She loved to bowl, camp, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lillian wanted to thank her daughters and their families for what they did to make her life so happy.

Memorials may be made in Lillian's name to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 71.
