Lewis Edward Hammock, 56, of Urbana, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at 10:35 a.m. at his home. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 1001 Killarney St., Urbana.

Mr. Hammock was born to parents Mary (Havice) and Lewis Hammock on August 3, 1955 in Champaign. Lewis' survivors include daughters; Jessica Blanchard, of Bloomington, April Hammock, of Sullivan, Indiana, sons; Chris Blanchard (Makayla White), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chase Hammock, of Urbana, sisters; Marylou Brausch, of Peoria, Donna Johnson, of Urbana, Nancy Denbo (Barry), of Tuscola, Robin Bozeman, of Texas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Royal Brown.

Mr. Hammock worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years.
