LaVerne Williams, 92, of Savoy, died at 10:20 p.m., December 12, 2011 at C-U Regional Rehab, Savoy.

All services are private. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana is handling the arrangments. Rev Brent Roberson will officiate. Burial will be in Melvin Cemetery.

LaVerne Williams was born April 9, 1919 in Roberts, IL a daughter of Lamar and Sylvia Eppelhiemer Lachenmyer. She married David Williams February 16, 1946 in Arizona. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Williams is survived by a son, Bill (Dianna) Williams of Urbana; a daughter, Gay (Randy) Moore; a brother, Eugene Lachenmyer; a half sister Karen Woodmansee; a half brother, Russell Lachenmyer; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
