CHAMPAIGN, IL-  Laverna M. Casebeer, 96, of Champaign, passed away at 1:49AM, Monday, June 22, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo, IL. There will be no public visitation.  Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Rd., Urbana is assisting the family with arrangements.

Laverna was born August 27, 1929 in Mitchell, IL, a daughter of Clyde and Hilda Condiff.  She married William Raymond Casebeer on June 2, 1946 in Villa Grove, IL and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1994.  Survivors include a son, Ron Casebeer of Champaign and a daughter, Laura Grider(Tim) of Martinsville, VA.  Also surviving is a grandson, William Grider(Sarah) and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Laverna attended Villa Grove schools and was a homemaker.  She attended Webber Street Christian Church in Urbana and was a proud grandmother to Maddison, Alyssa and Jackson.
