Larry Norman Bowers, 61 of Champaign, died 6:05 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 308 S. Mattis Ave., Champaign with burial in Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo.

Mr. Bowers was born July 23, 1946 in Champaign, the son of Harry and Juanita Worner Bowers. He married Betty Dickey on July 2, 1967 in Lawrenceburg, TN and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Michael Bowers of Mahomet, a daughter, Teresa Bowers of Champaign, a sister, Lanita Hayden of Urbana and a brother, Barney Bowers of Franklin, TN. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Bowers.

Mr. Bowers was a traction technician at Burnham City Hospital, Champaign for 12 years and was later Asst. Manager at Days Inn, Champaign for 10 years. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Champaign. He enjoyed country music and was a movie buff. Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of the family.
