Kurtis V. Cook, 39 of Urbana died at 4:56 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; the Rev. Terry Strom will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cook was born on January 20, 1968 in Champaign, the son of Velmer and Louise Stewart Cook, he married Misty Klein on July 16, 1994 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Savoy, two sons; Kurtis V. (K.C.) Cook of Maroa and Cory Cook of Urbana, two daughters; Kelsey Cook of Maroa and Amber Cook of Urbana, a brother; David Cook of Mahomet, two sisters; Susie Ohl of Georgia and Barb Crowley of Tolono, his in-laws; Wilbur and Evie Klein of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Cook was a mechanic for the Urbana Park District.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Urbana, ABATE, Sons of the American Legion Post 71, Urbana. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, riding his motorcycles and spending time at the river.
