Obituary

Kenton Douglas Clough, 47, of Champaign passed away at 1:20 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday July 2, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana.

Kent was born July 23, 1965 to parents Jerry and Dorothy (Nease) Clough on a naval base in Quonsett, Rhode Island. They survive in Tuscola.

He is survived by his life partner of nineteen years, Ken Firn of Champaign. Kent and Ken had a civil union ceremony on August 23, 2011.

Also surviving are his two brothers, Curt (Lisa) Clough of Effingham, Kelly (Stacy) Clough of Tuscola and six nephews, Kolby, Dustin, Kyle, Randy, Brian and Devon Clough.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Kent had worked for Crown Towers, Channel One and Verizon. He also volunteered his time to the local food pantry. He was very compassionate and enjoyed doing things for other people.

He graduated from Atwood Hammond High School and attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg Florida. Kent was a member of Atwood Baptist Church and the Wheels Car Club.

Kent had a great sense of humor and had the gift of making people laugh. He also loved his dogs, Morgan and Parker.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
