Kenneth Watts, 87, of Urbana, died at 11:04 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Rev. Ed Potts will officiate. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Renner-Wikoff Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Champaign.

Mr. Watts was born on February 9, 1924 in Huntington, West Virginia to parents Taylor and Kathryn (Maynard) Watts. He married Betty Lovett in March, 1953 in Ohio. She preceded him in death on September 19, 1996. Survivors include daughters; Carla Ounkham (Seui), of Urbana, Rhonda Grenko, of Urbana, Karen Marcum (Chip), of Ft. Hood, Texas, Gay Chanthothavong (Seuk), of Urbana, sons; Jody Watts, of Urbana, Kenny Watts (Emily), of Urbana, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by two sons; Larry Watts and Chuck Watts, and eight siblings.

Mr. Watts graduated from high school in West Virginia, then entered the army and proudly served during WWII and was a Private First Class. He was self-employed as a truck driver for 50 years, then worked for the University of Illinois as a building services worker for more than 20 years. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Chicago Cubs.
