Kenneth Shondell Key, 32, of Mahomet, died 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:30 Wednesday, August 29 at Calvary Baptist Church in Urbana. Rev. Gary Gritton will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Tuesday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Burial will be at Danville National Cemetery. Military Rites by VFW #728.

Kenneth Shondell Key was born December 20, 1974 in Columbus, Georgia a son of Kenneth and Elizabeth Starr Beman Key. He married Autumn King on December 30, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church in Urbana. She survives.

He is survived by his parents Eliabeth Starr of Chipley, FL; Kenneth Key of Pascagoula, MS, two brothers Nathanael Key of Washington DC, David Key of Pascagoula, MS; an aunt Kathleen Beman Pate of Columbus, GA; and his maternal grandmother June Beman of Columbus, GA. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Sam Beman Sr. and his paternal grandmother Virginia Harris.
