Kenneth was born on December 20, 1946 in Paxton to parents Russell and Mary Ellen (Harden) Davis. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his sister Doris Ann Davis.

Kenneth went to school in Cissna Park, Illinois through his junior year in high school. He went to Hoopeston High School his senior year. After school he joined the U.S. Army.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Randa (Seggebruch) Davis of Urbana, daughter Renee McElwain of Urbana, son Lance (Samantha Spalding) Davis of Urbana, son Justin (Angela) Davis of St. Joseph, six grandchildren (Austin, Connor, Kayli, Iris, Jillian and another granddaughter due in October) and one brother, Lowell (Shirley) Davis of Sidney.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Urbana and the owner of Beck's Country Shoppe Furniture Store.

Ken loved his Illini sports and was a lifelong Bears fan. His enthusiasm for work left little time for hobbies, but he did find time for the occasional trip to Las Vegas.

Ken was a people person, always putting the needs of others before his own. He was passionate about his work and deeply loved his church. Ken was an elder at Trinity and loved his Lord. When asked what was most important to him, Ken quickly responded with one word, "Family."
