Kenneth Bruce, 84, of Urbana, died December 10, 2010 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Rev. Mark Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.

Kenneth Bruce was born April 8, 1926 in Sullivan, IL a son of Noble and Lolus West Bruce. He married Kathryn Galaway. She preceded him in death.

Three children, Sandy Bruce of Urbana, Peggy Weaver of St. Joseph, and Daniel Bruce of Ogden; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren survive him.

He was preceded in death by two sons Dick and Ed Bruce, and a brother, Gerald Bruce.

Mr. Bruce was a member of the Carpenters Local 44 for 64 years. He served in the Navy during WWII and on the USS Lavaca from 1944 to 1946. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 630.
