Kathy Peavler 63 of Urbana died at 12:41 p.m. Saturday, February 22, p.m. 2014 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Mike Jenkins will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Peavler was born on March 28, 1950 in Urbana, the daughter of Irvin and Frances Rice Franklin. She married Berl Peavler on January 26, 1969 in Benton harbor, Michigan, he survives.

Also surviving are her mother of Branson, Missouri, one daughter; Marci Blocher of Rantoul, one sister; Nancy Helmick of Paducah, Kentucky, one granddaughter; Ashley Blocher and two great grandsons; Trey Coleman and Tony Coleman.

She was preceded in death by her father and 2 step-brothers.

Mrs. Peavler was a secretary for the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute.

She enjoyed feeding and watching birds and the neighborhood cats. She loved gospel music.
