Junior (JR) Tincher 75 of Urbana went to be home with the Lord on June 21, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, Urbana; Rev. Gary Gritton officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mr. Tincher was born July 3, 1936 in Tyner, Kentucky, the son of Eli and Eva Miller Tincher. He married Helen Gulliford of Urbana; she survives.

Also surviving are one son; Bruce (Bobbie) Tincher of Urbana, two grandchildren; Sarah and Eli Tincher of Urbana, three brothers; William of Kentucky, Leo of Kentucky and Randell of Florida, two sisters; Francis Carpenter of Kentucky and Daisy Hollett of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by one son; Harold Tincher and one sister; Pearl Short.

Junior retired after 32 years at the Gill Company, Urbana.

He enjoyed wood working, playing guitar and spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.

Junior was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Urbana.
