June E. Giuffre, 75, of Champaign, formerly of Urbana, IL, passed away at 12:32 P.M., Monday, December 26, 2011 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 30, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 410 W. White St., Champaign, IL. Rev. Father Stephen Willard will officiate. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Champaign, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M., at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.

June was born October 28, 1936 in St. Marie, IL, a daughter of Augustus and Teresa (Hipp) Rohr. She married S. Charles Giuffre on June 6, 1959 in Champaign, IL. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2005. Survivors include three sons, Matt (V'Ann) Giuffre, James (Marina) Giuffre and Mark (Rae) Giuffre; four grandchildren, and two brothers, Richard (Karolee) Rohr and Jim (Barbara) Rohr, both of Champaign, IL. Several nieces, nephews and many good friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Shirley Rohr.

June was a retired licensed practical nurse and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Alter and Rosary Society. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and current member of Holy Cross Church in Champaign. She loved being outdoors, gardening, and she enjoyed athletics in her early years.
