Julianne Hood, 80, of Champaign, died Monday, May 28, 2007 in Savoy.

A graveside service 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Riverside Cemetery in Mahomet. Rev. Terry Harter will officiate. There will be no visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana is handling arrangements. A gathering at Lake of the Woods Rotary Hills Pavilion for friends and family will immediately follow burial.

Julianne Hood was born September 13, 1926 in Minier, IL a daughter of Albert Dan and Pauline Moss Sizer. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Hood Jr., owner of Hood's Pharmacy in Urbana, two brothers Albert Dan (Sunny) and Richard L. Sizer; two sisters Emily Elaine Sill and Sarah Sally Gibson.

She is survived by one sister Pauline Mariucci, her children Charles B. Hood III of Lompoc, CA, Linda Zoe Hood of Champaign, Teri Sommer of Champaign, three grandchildren Garret Sommer of Champaign, Courtney and Colton Hood of Lompoc, CA.

Julianne attended the U of I School of Art. She was a partner at Le Gourmet in Champaign and had a booth at Vintage Antiques in downtown Champaign. She worked at the Bookcase at Robeson's Department Store. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the First Methodist Church in Champaign.
