Judith Siems, 69, of Urbana, died at 11:10 p.m. on October 9, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1803 N. Coler Ave., Urbana. Rev. J. Michael Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Siems was born July 2, 1941 in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Helen (Mingee) Markstahler. She married Ronald Siems on November 27, 1964 in Springfield and he survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Rhonda Applebee (Kevin) of Urbana; son, Richard Mattlin (Michelle) of Tuscola; sisters, Helen Drollinger of Champaign, Jean Baker of Harrisburg, Susie Wilson of Ashmore; brothers, Fred Markstahler, Jr. of Tolono, Bill Markstahler of Florida, Jim Markstahler of Champaign; grandchildren, Chrissy Herschberger (Dan), Connor Applebee, Nicci Mattlin, Morgan Applebee; and great grandchild, Makenzie Herschberger. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Siems graduated from Central High School and was a homemaker. Judy was an avid Bears and Illini fan and enjoyed playing tournament euchre. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
