Juanita Z. Hawkins 83 of Urbana died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Cherokee, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Eric Coulter will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Juanita was born on November 6, 1933 in Newton, the daughter of Lorenus and Lena Cramer. She married Thomas Hawkins Sr. on May 1, 1953 in Corinth, MS; he died on December 31, 1990. Survivors include three sons; Thomas E. Hawkins Jr. of Cherokee, Alabama, Robert G. Hawkins of Danville and Timothy A. Hawkins of Homer, four brothers; Donald Cramer of Champaign, James L. Cramer of Mt. Vernon, Paul Cramer of Urbana and Richard Cramer of Phoenix, Arizona, nineteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and twenty five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Tracy Philbeck and one brother. Juanita retired from housekeeping at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Urbana.
