Juanita Jean Gordon, 83, of Indianapolis, formerly of Urbana, IL, passed away on June 27, 2010 at the Washington Health Care Center in Indianapolis.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 2, 2010, at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. John Sims will officiate. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M., Thursday, July 1, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gordon was born August 3, 1926 in Urbana, IL, a daughter of Oscar Adams Sr. and Gladys Martin Adams. She married Robert L. Gordon II on September 23, 1942. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1986. Survivors include three children, Robert L. Gordon III (Florence) of California, Leslie Gordon (Harry Goss) of Indianapolis, IN, and Marla Booth (Nate) of California; three grandchildren, Lisa Gordon Hunt (Dave), Karlchen Djordjevic (Jaime) and Kurt Djordjevic (Crystal). Three great grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Gordon worked for the Urbana Free Library Archives for many years and also the Champaign County Republican Headquarters. She was a member of the Republican National Committee, Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, Champaign County Historical Society, and she was a life member of the National & Illinois Congress of PTA.
