Juanita Mae Foster, 84, of Urbana, formerly of Bement, died 4:50 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. Kathy Murphy officiating. Interment will be at Rice Cemetery in Sadorus. Mrs. Foster was born Nov. 4, 1924 at Ironton, OH, the daughter of Glen Sanford and Mary Magdalene Mayo Norman. She married David C. Foster on Sept. 20, 1947 at Oregon, IL and he survives. She is also survived by daughters; Mary Foster of Concord, CA, Lois Welch (Robert) of Urbana, Judy Hawn (Damon) of Bement, sisters; Nancy Riggs of Huntington, WV, Margie Kizzee of Huntington, WV, Mary Lee Lyons of Lavalette, WV, grandchildren; Ryan, Michael and Jennifer Hawn, Great Grandchildren; Jacob Gadbury and Victoria, Noah, Mariah Hawn.

Mrs. Foster is a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington, WV. She was a secretary at the University of Illinois for many years in the Psychology Dept. and the College of Food Science. She was also a substitute music teacher for the Urbana School Dist. and she also taught piano. She is a member of Parkville United Methodist Church, Parkville and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of York Rite Free Masonry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkville United Methodist Church.
