- Joyce D. Woodcock, 80, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 2:13 P.M., Friday, January 8, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana. A visitation will be held two hours prior(11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.) to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Joyce was born on November 17, 1935 in West Monroe, Louisiana, a daughter of James and Doris Lilian (Watson) Boren. She married Robert G. Woodcock on December 28, 1974 in Danville, IL. He survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Sandra Cooper(Phillip), and a son, Leonard DeForge(Warren Wheatley) of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren, Lori Cooper, Leslie Cooper, Ray Wheatley DeForge, Jesse Wheatley DeForge and Kelton Wheatley DeForge and a great-granddaughter, Grace Chariya. Her sister, Evelyn VanLaningham(John Patterson) of Cincinnati, Ohio also survives.

Joyce graduated from Danville High School and worked for Illinois Bell. She retired from Illinois Bell in 1991 and then worked for the Champaign Telephone Company Answering Service from 1993 until 2002. Joyce was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle Church in Danville and attended Vinyard Church in Urbana. She was a past member of Business and Professional Women.
