Joyce Joan Strait 72 of Urbana died at 3:40 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at home.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville, with Pastor James Lehmann officiating. Burial will be in Beckman Cemetery, Thomasboro. A reception will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Strait was born on February 15, 1941 in Champaign, the daughter of George Aden and Lena Hiske Wolken Sage. She married Lionel F. Strait on October 2, 1960 in Flatville, he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; Kimberly A. Barth of Potomac and Emily M. Miracle of Hustonville, Kentucky, one brother; Merle Sage of Thomasboro and three grandchildren; Bethany, Ross and Shelby.

Mrs. Strait retired from Carle Clinic as a medical secretary.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville.
