Joyce M. Hamilton 86 of Atwood formerly of Urbana left this earthly home at 3:30 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at home.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mrs. Hamilton was born on September 29, 1930 in Kirksville, the daughter of George and Burnetta Neill Allen. She married J. Harold Hamilton in June 1948 in Windsor, he survives.

Also surviving are three sons; Jeff (Becky Alexander) Hamilton of Atwood, Dennis (Norma) Hamilton of Champaign and Jim (Melinda) Hamilton of Utica, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was known to many as mom and grandma.

Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by one daughter: Collette, two brothers and two sisters.

She enjoyed sewing and singing.
