URBANA, IL- Joseph I. Panepinto, 82, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 10:50 A.M., Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 8, 2013, at St. Patricks Catholic Church, 708 W. Main St., Urbana, IL. The Rev. Father Joseph Hogan will officiate. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday evening (Nov. 7) at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.

Joseph was born June 8, 1931 in Joliet, IL, a son of Alphonso and Lena (Buccalo) Panepinto. He married Joanne McDade on September 29, 1956 in Joliet, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Allen (Paula Strong) Panepinto of Urbana, Tom(Sue) Panepinto of Fithian, IL and a daughter, Rose Panepinto of Urbana. 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a sister, Toni Meyer of Plainfield, IL also survives.

He was preceded in death by a son, James, a grandson, Demetrius, and three brothers, Frank Manno, Frank Panepinto and John Panepinto.

Joseph attended the Illinois School for the Deaf and worked for Pepsi-Cola for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Patricks Church, Deaf Senior Citizens Club and he loved dogs.
