URBANA, IL- Joseph Bernard Buchholz, 74, of Urbana, passed away at 7:07 P.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Prairieview Cemetery, Savoy. Military rites will be provided by V.F.W. 5520, Champaign.

Mr. Buchholz was born April 9, 1935 at St. Marys, Kansas, a son of Joseph and Rosalie Miller Buchholz. Survivors include two sons, Scot Alan (Sue) Buchholz of Union, KY and Eric Brian (Laura) Buchholz of St. Peters, MO; two daughters, Jodi Leigh Buchholz of Olathe, KS and Danielle Marie Buchholz of Urbana, IL. 10 Grandchildren, Reyanna Jenea Buchholz, Wesley Alan Buchholz, Katey Lee Buchholz, Julia Christine Buchholz, Sean Brian Buchholz, Leigh Ann Buchholz, Shelby Lee Buchholz, Drake Alan Buchholz, Tyler Joseph Guge, and Brady Michael Barnes. One great-grandson, Axsel Joseph Guge; Two sisters, Margie Ann (Robert) Dayton of Champaign, IL and Jolene Jacobs of Noel, MO. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Buchholz served in the United States Air Force and retired from Odman-Hecker Company and Christie Clinic.
