John Prather, 52, of Urbana passed away at 4:40 a.m., Monday, December 17, 2012. A memorial service will be held at a later date. John was born June 13, 1960 in Urbana to parents Don and Jane (Garvin) Prather; they survive. He married Karen Williams in Urbana on March 12, 1993; she also survives. Other survivors include one son; Alexander Prather, of Urbana, brothers; Tom and Tim Prather, of Texas, and sister; Deanna Prather, of Urbana.

John worked as a welder for Latinia Sports Group for more than 15 years. He was dearly loved by his family and will be deeply missed.
